Introducing Creator Candy: Kibu x DIY.org
We have some very exciting news.
Today, Kibu is partnering with DIY.org to launch something we have been working on for a while, and we are really proud of how it has come together.
Meet the new Creator Candy colourway.
What Is Creator Candy?
The Creator Candy colourway is a limited-edition collaboration that brings together two things we both believe in: making stuff yourself, and using technology to create rather than just consume.
It has two parts.
The first is a limited-edition Creator Candy Kibu headphones, built by your child, in our most playful colourway yet. Like every pair of Kibu headphones, it arrives as a kit, goes together in around 20 minutes, and can be repaired rather than replaced if something ever goes wrong.
The second is an exclusive Sound Lab, built by the team at DIY.org, a collection of musical playgrounds, sound experiments, interactive games, and creative audio tools, designed for curious kids who want to do more than just listen.
Together, they are a celebration of making, creativity, technology, and sound.
What Is Inside the Sound Lab?
The Sound Lab is packed with experiences that invite children to explore, play, and make. A few of our favourites:
Monster Tracks: build your own beats by mixing and layering monster-themed sounds into something completely original.
Frequency Fishing: a game built around the science of sound, where children fish for frequencies and discover how different sounds work.
Neon Drop Pinball: a visual and audio playground where every bounce and drop creates music.
Arpeggiator Playground and Spiral Synth: tools that turn musical ideas into something children can actually play with, without needing to know anything about music theory.
And that is just the beginning. The Sound Lab is full of tools and experiences to discover, and it is the kind of thing that is different every time you come back to it.
Build It, Play It, Remix It
What makes Creator Candy really special is what happens after children have explored the Sound Lab.
Because the experiences live on DIY.org, children can go further. Using AI and Vibe Coding, they can remix the experiences, modify ideas, and build something entirely their own. Not just playing with technology, actually creating with it.
That is something both Kibu and DIY.org feel strongly about. The future is not built by consumers. It is built by creators. And the earlier children learn that they can make things rather than just use them, the better.
